Frame Numbers

K3 LoCal Number Plate Holder
A lot of guys will trim down their frame numbers.  Do not do this!  If the camera can't read your number you won't get placed.

How do you attach your frame numbers?  You can zip tie them to your seat post or frame in a visible spot or you can attach them to a bracket affixed to the bolt of your rear brake.  In the past the cheap way I did was to use an old bracket from a rear rack that I cut down.  But now I use a bracket from K3Holders.

Tip: If your bike is not inside your car remove your frame number while driving to the race. This is especially important if your bike is perpendicular on your rack to the direction of travel.  Lots and lots of people have littered the highway with frame numbers that get caught in the wind of freeway speeds and break off.
